The Singers
The singers perform standard classical repertoire as well as spirituals, contemporary anthems, and world music.
1) Primary Choir:
- for children in kindergarten, first and second grades.
- rehearses once each week for fifteen minutes, on Sundays immediately following the conclusion of the worship service.
- sings on Christmas Eve, Easter, Sunday School Promotion Sunday and other Sundays during the academic year.
2) Junior Choir:
- for children in grades three, four, five and six.
- rehearses once each week for 30-45 minutes, on Sundays immediately following the Primary Choir rehearsal.
- sings on Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, Easter, Sunday School Promotion Sunday and other Sundays during the academic year.
- rehearsals also include the study and use of tone chimes.
3) Chancel Choir:
- for adults, ages 16 and older.
- rehearses once each week for two hours, on Thursdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- participates in the Sunday morning worship service every week during the academic year and sings at the evening services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.
4) Women’s Ensemble:
- for adult soprano and alto voices.
- rehearses as part of the Chancel Choir rehearsal on Thursday nights.
- sings in Advent, Lent, Mother’s Day and other occasional Sundays during the academic year.
5) Men’s Choir:
- for adult tenor and bass voices.
- rehearses as part of the Chancel Choir rehearsal on Thursday nights.
- sings in Advent, Lent, Father’s Day and other occasional Sundays during the academic year.
