Choir

The Singers

The singers perform standard classical repertoire as well as spirituals, contemporary anthems, and world music.(see below for choir anthems listing)

1) Chancel Choir:

  • for adults, ages 16 and older.
  • rehearses once each week for two hours, on Thursdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • participates in the Sunday morning worship service every week during the academic year and sings at the evening services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.

2) Women’s Ensemble:

  • for adult soprano and alto voices.
  • rehearses as part of the Chancel Choir rehearsal on Thursday nights.
  • sings in Advent, Lent, Mother’s Day and other occasional Sundays during the academic year.

3) Men’s Choir:

  • for adult tenor and bass voices.
  • rehearses as part of the Chancel Choir rehearsal on Thursday nights.
  • sings in Advent, Lent, Father’s Day and other occasional Sundays during the academic year.

Christmas Cantata
The church’s traditional Advent/Christmas Cantata is presented on the third Sunday in Advent during the morning worship service.
